Woodlands Historic Park Bees

Teddy Bear Bee at Woodlands Historic Park
Teddy Bear Bee, late January

Houston (2018, page 223) states "As far as is known, all Amegilla species are floral generalists". However we have only seen these bees in the vicinity of flowering Mistletoe plants, even where other plants are flowering profusely nearby. They have the disconcerting habit when you aproach them of hovering in front of your face and looking you in the eye. Unfortunately they won't do the same for the camera!
