The only plant species in the park on which this hopper has been found is Kangaroo Apple, which is in the Solanum family. Unfortunately it does not seem to feed on the weeds Black Nightshade or Apple of Sodom, even though they are in the same family.
This is another one of those "hopper" species which I have never seen hop - instead both adults and nymphs run sideways to the other side of the leaf if threatened.
