Woodlands Historic Park Wasps

Wasp (family Braconidae) at Woodlands Historic Park
Parasitic Wasp, mid January. Body plus head length about 10mm.

This wasp was seen a number of times on the trunk of a dead Sugar Gum. This tree had numerous hole in it about 5mm diameter some of which were probably occupied by other insects. The only insects I saw which could be assumed to lay their eggs in such holes were several species of masked bee.
