Woodlands Historic Park Wasps

Wasp (family Braconidae) at Woodlands Historic Park — Parasitic Wasp, mid May. About 5mm long. The wasp is laying eggs into the trunk of a Red Gum, and is therefore a parasite of an insect which lives under the bark, probably a beetle larva.
